Okay, I will admit I was more than a little skeptical about this one. But faced with numerous positive reviews and the fact that the developer also created some of our other favorite apps, I thought I would give this a try. I wanted to know: would the kids like it and would they actually learn the presidents from it.
Well, the answer is affirmative on both accounts. This rather unusual game allows the player to knock down aliens using the president! I am not sure how the developer came up with this crazy idea but my children love it. They learn nicknames, famous quotes and historical context for the American presidents.
I can safely say that because of Presidents vs. Aliens, my children know more of the American history of presidents than I do. A "Lite" version is available if you would like to try it out before buying it for 99 cents.
