The White House And The Maker Movement

I have before blogged about what is being called "The Maker Movement". These grassroots efforts are officially recognized as an increasing focus on the creation of innovative goods and services. In our home, this translates to: how can we move from just being consumers ( of video games, apps, ibooks or many others) to creating products and services that may benefit others?

I was interested to find the White House joining in the conversation about the Maker Movement with some of the major players in the movement today.

Appropriately, the White House held this conversation with the latest in social media technology from Google, a Google hangout, earlier today.
