Use God's Word

        So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth;
         It will not return to Me empty,
         Without accomplishing what I desire,
         And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.

         Isaiah 55:11

I am endeavoring to use God's word, liberally, hourly even, as I seek to home educate my children.  I am planting many seeds in different subjects but by far the most important seed I want to plant is that which will not return void.  (This is the opposite of my garden this year in which some seeds have appeared to bear no fruit whatsoever due to the drought or whatever else but that is a topic I will cover in a later gardening post.)

Lord, help me to constantly send forth your word.

As the Proverbs 31 woman was with the law of kindness constantly on her lips, (She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. Proverbs 31:26) so may I be.  Commentators believe that the reference to the "law of kindness" in that verse refers to the word of God (often referred to as the law in the OT) concerning God's chesed or lovingkindness.

May I constantly remind my children, my husband and others around me about the loving kind of God we serve, one who send his Son to die for our sins.  May we all remain firmly rooted and grounded in that great truth.
