Missions

Our top resource for learning about persecuted church countries and the missionaries who are making a difference is:
Voice Of The Martyrs Kids of Courage Bold Believers books available free online as downloadable e-books:
http://www.kidsofcourage.com/?page_id=166
We print these out and put them into binders.  Our children love these and devour them.  Lots of fun activities, real stories, country facts and figures, pictures and more.

Harvest Ministries:
Teaching With God’s Heart for the World  by Ann Dunagan, a free 2-year curriculum for homeschoolers with a missions and missionary focus. These are unit studies incorporating multiple subjects in historical backgrounds for study. Go to and download the whole curriculum for free: http://harvestministry.org/twghw

Missionary Alliance Church resources:

Missionary biographies (we just cannot get enough of these adventurous stories about God's people), posters (we have some on our refrigerator), and dramas/stories for children from Gospel Fellowship.

ACT- help God's people share his love around the world. You and your family can make a difference! Jesus commands us to love others and spread the Gospel. Be a part of God's work in the needy world of today. Click on the photos to visit the ministries below and pray about how you could help.

I've enjoyed finding all kinds of homeschooling ideas on your blog! Thanks! We homeschool in Tanzania, and thought you may like to see the blog (http://mongergirls.blogspot.com)our daughters write on homeschool and mission life here! It is really a way for them of keeping up with friends and family far away, but gives a taste of what life can be like in other places! It's great for kids to see that they can be involved in mission wherever they are :) Rachel
