My son is very interested in chemistry and especially enjoys learning about the elements. We have found a variety of apps to help him learn more but some are definitely better than others.
By far, the most visually appealing and interactive is The Elements. Hailed as one of the most visually appealing apps to make full use of Apple's gorgeous Retina Display, it has been featured in various places. At $9.99, it is one of our most expensive apps but well worth the money.

A much simpler way of viewing the basic information about each element is another app that we have called the K12 Periodic Table. It is free and a good quick reference for the elements.
