I have to live with it everyday and will always wish I had not done this. I have a daughter that just confided in me that she has been to a doctor and used the " Abortion Pill" I am heart broken. What does one say when they to made a decision that they wish had never happened? Its hard to anwser and I have asked for His forgiveness. I hope before anyone makes that decision they will find a good person they can talk to. I felt as thou I had know one. My daughter says she wishes she had come to me know. Life has twists and turns that we need to be ready for, thanksAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11954362.post-1117480763002961942005-05-30T14:19:00.000-05:002005-05-30T14:19:00.000-05:00I had a similar experience. We were watching the ...I had a similar experience. We were watching the news during the most recent presidential election and they showed a clip of Howard Dean giving a speech. At the time, he looked perfectly reasonable. My 8 year old daughter asked me if he was good or bad (there are very few shades of gray with 8 year olds). I told her that I didn't like him and wouldn't vote for him. She asked why.

I told her that he believed some things were OK that I did not believe were OK. She asked me, "What things."

At this point I had something of a dilema. I wasn't prepared to discuss abortion with her, as she has been relatively protected from that sort of thing and she is only 8. On the other hand, I wanted her to realize that decisions to vote and how to vote are important.

So I told her. I tried not to be horrific. I just said that some people believe that if a woman is pregnant and doesn't want to have the baby, it is OK to take it out of her even though it means the baby will die.

She just stared wide eyed at the television like she was looking square at the devil and said, (and this is an exact or very nearly exact quote)"How in the world could anyone vote for anyone that evil?" I told her that the devil is a deceiver and liar. He can trick people into believing evil is good and good is evil if they don't listen to God.

But her clear cut response kind of startled me. Adults learn to justify evil actions under the old adage of the ends justify the means, but she certainly doesn't have that problem yet.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
